On October 11, U.S. Forces Korean Commander Gen. James D. Thurman honored the memory of those who died in the Korean war during a wreath laying ceremony at the Korean War Memorial in Washington, DC. This year’s event marks the 61st anniversary of the Korean War.

Get Baked!
Think you make a good apple pie? You may not even be making an apple pie! But you’d better be if you want to even compete at the Ninth Annual Apple Pie Contest at Enid’s starting at 5pm TODAY.
Anyone, and everyone, is invited to bring a homemade pie with which to wow this year’s panel of judges now that the 50-contestant cap that was put in place to save the judges’ bellies has been lifted this year.
